Capo Ferrato
The Promontory of Capo Ferrato (7 km north from campsite) is characterized by small inlets and rocks, so it’s the perfect spot for those who love fishing and diving
The “Sette Fratelli ” Nature Park
Moving away from the coast, a few kilometres from the campsite you will find the vast mountainous area of Sette Fratelli Park, a spectacular landscape with canyons and forests filled with Mediterranean vegetation, home to a protected species of Sardinian deer. The network of signed route departing from the “Arcu e Tidu” pass (about 25 km) provide atmospheric trekking opportunities of varying difficulty in the mountains.
Castiadas
In the small village of Castiadas (10 km away from campsite) you can visit an interesting agricultural penal colony, which dates back to the XIX century. In the “agriturismi” (a sort of farmhouses), it’s possible to taste typical Sardinian cuisine and the local wine “Cannonau” (that of wine growers’ association of Castiadas is very well-known in Sardinia)
Villasimius
Just 15 km away from campsite there’s the popular tourist resort of Villasimius (among other things, there’s also a tourist port): from Villasimius it’s possible to take excursions on boats and sailing boats towards the unpolluted sea park of “Capo Carbonara” and the islands of “Serpentara” and “dei Cavoli”
Muravera
25 km away from campsite there’s Muravera, the chief town of the Sarrabus’ region: this village is renowned for the citrus fruit cultivation (every spring, the “citrus fruits festival” attracts many people), for the production of handmade rugs and also for its musical traditions (for example, the making of launeddas, a typical ancient musical instrument). This area is characterized by the presence of ponds and its interesting bird-rearing fauna (i.e. pink flamingos), and fishponds, where are breed mullets and eels, which are among the most appreciated in Sardinia.
Book accommodation units
We recommend booking accommodation units and checking their availability in advance. The bookings for bungalows start in November-December and the opening date is set on a year by year basis. We suggest you visit our website or facebook page for the exact dates, or subscribe to our newsletter so you receive the relevant information in time.
Bookings can be made via the form on our website, by email, with the online booking systemor simply by phone. Given the continuous and rapid changes in availability, during the initial booking period, bookings through our online booking systemmay be temporarily disabled.
Once the availability of a space has been checked and confirmed, campers must fill in a specific form with their personal information and reference details for the booking. There is no need to send the form if the booking is made online.
It is necessary to formalise the booking by sending a deposit corresponding to about 40% of the total amount of the stay. It can be made by bank transfer or with a normal postal account payment slip. Before you arrive at the campsite we will send a letter summarising your booking. You can also arrive midweek, however we try to match arrival dates with those of a previous guest’s departure, therefore, at the time of booking we may ask you to adjust your request based on the availability.
Optional services
On request we can provide some optional accessories for free. It is necessary to request them in advance when booking:
– Camping bed for ledge for a bed
– High chair for children
– Additional bed
Some optional services can be provided upon payment of an additional fee. They should preferably be requested in advance when booking:
– bed and bath linen must be brought by the guests themselves. Upon request, we rent sets of bed linen (single, double) and towels (face, bidet, shower).
– The final cleaning is optional: the bungalows are always thoroughly cleaned and sanitised by our staff before new arrivals. Departing guests must leave the bungalow clean and tidy, but if required the Management can undertake the final clean upon payment of an additional fee.
– the beach service with umbrellas and sunbeds it is active from early June to early September, and the opening dates are determined each year. The service can be requested when booking. For more information about the beach service read here

The mini club
“Here the children are happy, so we are happy too! ” Parents tell us this and we take this observation seriously when we entrust the activities for our youngest guests to our professional entertainers.
In the spirit of the entertainment at the Camping Capo Ferrato Village, the activities for children must not be intense or intrusive either, so the programmes are distributed in a balanced way throughout the day.
Activities range from beach games to sports tournaments, hand games and group activities.
Creative workshops for children
The daily activities are also combined with creative workshops, events organised with external professionals. Examples include the puppet workshop, with a final performance, or that of the kites, which ends by flying of all the kites made by the children themselves, providing fun for the little ones and a show for the adults!
The evening always begins with the baby dance and then continues alongside that of the adults, until bedtime.
The mini club is active on the beach in the morning from 10:30 to 12:30 and at the mini club in the afternoon from 15:30 to 17:30. Baby dance evenings start at 21:30.
The service is free and takes place during July and August.
Children from 4 years old can take part in the mini club, and younger kids also can if accompanied by parents.

The entertainment spaces and respect for peacefulness
The philosophy behind the entertainment at the Camping Capo Ferrato Village is to make the stay pleasant for everyone with maximum respect for the quiet of the campsite. Looking at the map, in fact, we see that the theatre, the sports area and the games zone are in a reserved area to the side of the structure. A beautiful theatre, with ample space for shows and events, equipped with modern audio-video and lighting equipment allows us to organise evening activities while containing the music in a defined space, without disturbing the tranquillity of the guests.
The same applies to the mini club area next to the playground, where children can go in the afternoon. The children’s chatter and games are separated from the pitches and bungalows, because afternoon naps for parents are important when on holiday!
The camp’s theatre and mini club operate in July and August to coincide with the entertainment activities and events.
Take-away meals
For those who want to taste ready prepared dishes with the peace and the freedom to stay on their pitch or in their bungalows, our restaurant also offers a takeaway service, choosing from the daily menu or directly from the menu.
Bar
We have two bars, the main one located in the restaurant and the one on the beach.
In the cosy outdoor terrace of the main bar, you can enjoy a good breakfast, an ice cream or an aperitif, and for sports fans there is a TV and a big screen, so you won’t miss the major national and international competitions. The bar also sells tobacco.
The main bar is open from late April until the end of October, following the periods of the other catering services. The opening dates are determined each year.
The kiosk bar on the beach offers ice creams and snacks, and you can relax between one dive and the next while sitting by the sea with a coffee or a refreshing drink.
In the evening the kiosk serves as the refreshment for our theatre. What could be better than a drink while watching a show?

Market
Our campsite has a mini-market where you can find fresh bread, aromatic croissants, cold meats and cheeses, fresh fruits and vegetables, quality meat, frozen food and a selection of regional wines. To add freshness and quality, our mini-market also offers a corner with products from local farms and organic products, as well as a selection of products for celiacs and lactose intolerant guests.
Hygiene products, camping accessories, games and inflatables for children, books and camping-gas are available to meet all your needs.
The Market is open daily from 8:00 to 13:00 and 17:00 to 20:00. During the low season opening hours may be reduced.

📅 The calendar with the schedules
We organise Sardinian Weeks several times during the season: typically two/three weeks in April, May, June, September, and October. Each edition features a different programme, always rooted in tradition, but with new experiences every year.
The detailed programme is published a few weeks in advance in our Events & News section. However, you can already ask for information at Reception or by email.
Some experiences have limited places: we recommend booking in advance so you don’t miss the most special moments!
How to Book a Pitch
Most of the pitches can be booked and include the seafront, motorhome, trailer and large tent and 2/3 people pitch types. The pitches can be booked starting from November-December and the opening date is set on a year by year basis. We suggest you visit our website or facebook page for the exact dates, or subscribe to our newsletter so you receive the relevant information in time.
Bookings can be made via the form on our website, by email, with the online booking systemor simply by phone. Given the continuous and rapid changes in availability, during the initial booking period, bookings through our online booking systemmay be temporarily disabled.
Once the availability of a space has been checked and confirmed, campers must fill in a specific form with their personal information and reference details for the booking. It is necessary to formalise the booking by sending a deposit according to methods indicated in the booking form.
You will be required pay a € 12.00 booking fee, which will be included in the final bill. Before arriving at the campsite, a letter is always sent with a summary of the booking and the reference for the deposit.
The Santa Giusta S.C.I. beach – Costa Rei
The south side of the Camping Capo Ferrato Village borders an area of great natural value, the “S.C.I. Santa Giusta Costa Rei“. Centuries-old juniper trees and sand dunes shape this beautiful corner of the beach, which has just been declared a Site of Community Interest protected by European Union directives. We periodically offer walks with a botanist in this area, as we find out about the ecosystem of the beaches.
✨ The originality of the programmes
The heart of the Sardinian Weeks lies in the variety of experiences: authentic, hands-on, and often hard to find elsewhere. We organise activities that change each year, always focused on enhancing the local culture. Examples include:
- Folk evenings with Sardinian dances among the guests
- Demonstrations and workshops with local artisans
- Preparation and tasting of myrtle liqueur, bread, Sardinian pasta, cheeses and traditional desserts
- Excursions exploring the environment with AIGAE guides and expert communicators
- Informal gatherings with local producers and stories about the territory
Each edition is carefully created in collaboration with the local community, offering tourism based on real connections and memorable experiences.
The Capo Ferrato Nature Reserve
Turning to the north, after 6 km the Costa Rei beach ends with the promontory of Capo Ferrato, recently established as a nature reserve of environmental protection. The promontory is characterised by small inlets and rocks, providing the perfect setting for lovers of fishing and scuba diving, and also fans of natural and geological environments and sites of archaeological significance. The promontory also offers several hiking trails, some of which cross the coastal bays up to the lighthouse, while one scenic route arrives at the highest point of Mount Ferru, dominated by a beautiful Spanish tower.
👧 Sardinian Weeks for children
During Sardinian Weeks, children become protagonists too! Our Mini Club transforms into a creative workshop inspired by Sardinian traditions. The little ones enjoy:
- Loom weaving and making garlands with Mediterranean plants
- Clay modelling, lantern crafting and kite flying
- Nature walks with professional guides in multiple languages
- Traditional games and themed treasure hunts
- Sandcastle competitions and family activities on scenic trails
So many opportunities to discover Sardinia while playing, learning and sharing special moments with parents.
Muravera, Villaputzu, San Vito
The Camping Capo Ferrato Village is located in a central area not far from the three most important urban centres of Sarrabus Muravera, Villaputzu, San Vito and Villasimius.
Located 25 km away, Muravera is the regional capital of Sarrabus famous for citrus fruit cultivation (in spring there is a wonderful “Citrus Festival “), which together with the neighbouring towns of San Vito and Villaputzu is known for the production of handmade rugs and the baskets, as well as for its musical tradition with the construction of “launeddas”. The area is characterised by the presence of ponds with a rich birdlife, including pink flamingos, and fish ponds where the most appreciated they mullets and mussels in Sardinia are bred.
Coming to the camp without a booking
Although all the pitches in the camp have the same general characteristics, they are divided into “bookable” and “non-bookable” pitches. Pitches “not bookable” (for spontaneous arrivals) are only a small part and include the seafront, camper, trailer and tent large is 2/3 people pitch types. They are available for all campers who prefer not to plan their holidays, or who like organise them at the last minute.
We manage these places day by day, on the basis of spontaneous departures. To facilitate your arrival in the camp, we suggest you contact us by phone (+39 070 991012) if it is the peak season or a busy period, as it is best to check on the availability of the pitches the day before.
The Geomarine park in Capo Carbonara and Villasimius
The Capo Carbonara-Villasimius Geomarine park begins a few kilometres from the campsite, with the unspoiled islands of Serpentara and Cavoli. Starting from the campsite, with a dinghy, campsite guests can visit the beaches and coves from Costa Rei passing through Cala Sinzias and Cala Pira, which offer glimpses of colours and depths suitable for everyone for snorkelling and swimming.
Villasimius is 15 km from the campsite, and, among other things, it is home to a significant tourist marina. Villasimius is also known for its bustling nightlife and shopping opportunities.
The Bathrooms
Safety and personal hygiene are key requirements and top priorities for campers, so our staff take great care over them.
There are two toilet and shower blocks for our guests to use. They are both easy to reach from every part of the campsite and equipped with free hot showers, toilets with toilet paper, washbasins with soap dispensers, and washing facilities for dishes and clothes.
We have completely renovated the central toilet and shower block, which is the larger of the two. There’s hot water in all of the sinks (almost all of which comes from solar heating systems) and soap and hand dryers are provided. Some of the shower cubicles also have a washbasin so that guests can wash in private, and some of the toilets have a bidet or shower next to them.
In the main toilet and shower block, there is a bathroom for disabled people containing a toilet (complete with a bidet shower), a washbasin and a shower.
There’s a colourful bathroom especially for children, with two toilets and washbasins at appropriate heights. There is also a new baby room with a bathtub and a changing table.
Another significant new addition comes in the shape of two private bathrooms for exclusive use. Each one contains a toilet, a bidet, a washbasin and a shower. Toilet paper, soap for washing your hands, a hair dryer and a daily cleaning service are all included. Each private bathroom must be booked in conjunction with a pitch, for the entire stay. Campers who turn up without booking can ask if one is available when they check in.
New laundry facilities are available for our guests in the main toilet and shower block, where they will find two washing machines and a drier. The block also contains a disposal point for emptying cassettes from chemical toilets and a dump station for motorhomes.
🚶♀️Unusual tours for the Sardinian Weeks
A key part of Sardinian Weeks is exploring the local territory. Our excursions are not the usual ones: they are tailor-made experiences in collaboration with experts and local guides, often exclusive and one-of-a-kind.
Some examples of the many activities:
- Botanical walks on the beach or in Mediterranean scrub, discovering native plants and their traditional uses
- Snorkelling and guided excursions in the bay of Scoglio di Peppino with coastal landscape interpretation
- Bike rides through vineyards, orange groves and nearby forests, breathing in the rural Sardinian atmosphere
- Visits to farms and artisan workshops with tastings and direct contact with producers
- Rare experiences such as prickly pear harvesting, sheep shearing, grape harvesting or stargazing guided by an astrophysicist
- Special walks dedicated to discovering loggerhead sea turtles (Caretta caretta), introduced in 2024 after the extraordinary event of nesting and hatching on our beach. These guided excursions take place every two weeks and explore the story and protection of this fascinating species.

Easter in the Camping Village in the heart of nature

La “Notte magica delle lanterne” e la musica del duo “Animas”
NELL’AMBITO DEL PROGRAMMA “LE SETTIMANE SARDE” UNA SERATA MAGICA PER I NOSTRI OSPITI, CON L’ALLESTIMENTO DI LANTERNE FATTO DAI BAMBINI E L’ESIBIZIONE DI CANTI SARDI DEL DUO “ANIMAS”. Le “Settimane Sarde” di giugno
Un programma di animazione originale tutto dedicato ai nostri ospiti della bassa stagione! Dal 5 giugno ripartono le “Settimane Sarde” due settimane di attività orientate alla promozione delle tradizioni, cultura, gastronomia e natura della nostra bellissima Isola e del nostro territorio. Sino al 21 giugno ogni giorno un’iniziativa differente: dal corso di cucina alla degustazione guidata dei vini, dallo snorkelling con il biologo marino, alla passeggiata in bicicletta nelle piccole aziende, dalla mostra degli artigiani al bird watching… Anche i bambini sono coinvolti in molte attività: un modo divertente per conoscere le meraviglie della Sardegna. AQUILONI AL VENTO – Laboratorio e volo
Domenica 3 settembre tutti a lanciare l’aquilone! Ancora un appuntamento con l’artista Alessia Marrocu, che questa volta insegna ai bambini e agli adulti a costruire gli aquiloni con la carta. Gli aquiloni vengono così portati in spiaggia e fatti volare! Il corso è dedicato a grandi e piccoli da 5 anni. L’appuntamento è alle 16:30 al mini club per la costruzione dell’aquilone. Ci si reca quindi in spiaggia per far volare gli aquiloni…buon divertimento!!!

GREAT NEWS 2018: Restaurant, Pizzeria, Bar and Market open from Easter
Even in Spring we offer delicious cuisine! The news of this year: we will open the market, the restaurant, the pizzeria and the bar as early as March 31, an extra service for all guests of the low season! Every morning from March 31st the Market will be open and it will be possible to find fresh bread and croissants, fresh products, cheeses, cured meats, naturally also fruits and vegetables, etc. A small bazaar will complete the service. And in the evening Guido and his staff will welcome you to the restaurant and pizzeria. We have prepared the spring menu and starting from May we will enrich the menu with delicious new proposals from the Chef. Guido’s suggestions for pairing with the best wine will not be missing! We have selected for you a series of Sardinian wineries, including the best organic and biodynamic wines of Sardinia. In April every afternoon will also open the bar, so coffee, cappuccinos, drinks are always available! 20/4 – 4/5: “Sardinian weeks” the special April
Your emotional holidays to discover the traditions, culture, nature and gastronomy of our island: two weeks, every day an initiative! The program includes 15 days each with a different activity organized for our guests in or out of the campsite. This is the first time that we have organized this special events program in April. Someone calls it “emotional holiday” other “experiential holiday”, but for us it is a goal, because the “Sardinian Weeks” are also a sustainable tourism project: they orient our guests towards respect for the territory giving a great importance to local economies , to traditions, bring them closer to the daily lives of our people. ON 15th NOVEMBER WE WILL OPEN RESERVATIONS FOR THE BUNGALOWS AND ON 4th DECEMBER FOR THE PITCHES. For the 2025 season, BOOKINGS for BUNGALOWS will open on FRIDAY, November 15th at 10:00 AM, and for PITCHES on WEDNESDAY, December 4th at 10am. To better manage all requests, each year bookings for bungalows and pitches open at different times. Since we receive many requests on the opening day, please take note of the following important information: Requests can be submitted through our “Contact us and request availability” form available on the homepage of our website. Bookings will only be accepted starting from the scheduled opening date and time. Requests received before this time cannot be processed. This winter we have completely renewed the central toilet group and prepared new procedures to ensure maximum safety for you and all our staff! News: Camping opening 2021
Dear friends of Camping Capo Ferrato, as you know we are one of the campsites in Sardinia that has the longest season, we have always opened the first days of April and so we planned to do this again this year. The continuous changes of ministerial provisions and the constantly evolving health situation, unfortunately, considerably limit the movements between the Regions and the arrival of foreign tourists. Therefore, we are in a position to have to change our programs and so we are forced to postpone the opening which presumably will be on April 30th. We have been waiting to give you this news, because we all really counted on a general improvement in national health conditions and an opening of borders. We have been preparing for this spring for some time, the month of April is one of the most evocative for us and the desire to go out and be outdoors is strong for everyone. But now we still have to be patient and wait confidently. Keep following us, we will keep you informed and we will confirm the opening date as soon as possible. See you soon! With Easter we start the 2024 season!!! The program of the “Sardinian Weeks” of April will start on Saturday and in the first Easter weekend we will have events to make your stay with us pleasant: On Saturday 30 March with the guide Marta Pili we will do the decorated wax candle workshop Sunday 31 April – Easter the children will have fun with the egg hunt! This will then be followed by the delicious Easter menu proposed by our restaurant “Da Guido” and in the evening LIVE MUSIC!
